Once you have decided you would like to become a Shotfirer or move up from assistant, you can follow the simple steps below:
- If you don't all ready have a Western Australian Dangerous Goods Security Card. Go to a participating Post Office and apply for one. You must have this card with you to start the course.
- Download an Application for a Shotfirer's License from here:
- Click here to download the form.
- Take page 9, Medical Examiner's Certificate and complete a medical. You will need the original signed form to submit with your Application for a Shotfirer's License.
- When you have completed these things go to the Current time table and find a course date that suits you.
- If there is a place left, go to the enroll now page and fill in the form and submit it. The form is automatically sent to John Soubotian and his staff.
- John or his staff will contact you (usualy on a Wednesday) to complete the enrolment paperwork and send out your Log Book.
- Complete your Log Book and have it signed by your supervisor and bring it with you to the course.
- Note: Completed Log Books must be handed in at the beginning of the course or no Certificate of completion can be issued.
